Media Statement on the Situation in El Aqsa

Geneva Council for International Affairs and Development / GCIAD is following with serious concern the dangerous escalation perpetrated by the Israeli Occupation Forces and strongly condemn the brutal attacks on the most sacred places for Muslim during the holy month of Ramadan.

 
Hundreds of Innocent people who perform their religious rituals are victims of a series of violations and oppression committed by the Israeli Occupation Forces. This act is repeated every year during the Holy month of Ramadan. The priority must be to intervene urgently in order to stop violations and provide protection for the Palestinian people, and then to investigate the crimes and hold the perpetrators to account.

We urge and call for International communities, mainly the UN Security Council to put the Palestine issue not as an Islamic (religious) issue, but as the fundamental issue of the human rights of the Palestinians. The first priority is to immediately act against this violent escalation by Israeli forces, to stand up for the inalienable human rights of Palestinians, and to actively support the enforcement of international laws.

 
GCIAD is working actively to support the development of peace and justice for the sake of the achievement of SDGs, which also means standing with the Palestinian communities in this most urgent moment, as we should leave no one behind.
