Geneva Council For International Affairs and Development (GCIAD) is a network for International Cooperation, diplomacy, development and human rights attorneys. GCIAD is dedicated to ensure awareness of the institutional limitations. We intend to utilize the skills and resources of our network for cooperation, conflict resolution and grassroots advocacy.

Dr. Nurhayati Ali Assegaf, M.Si., M.P. was a member of the People's Representative Council of Indonesia from 2004 to 2019. During her first term (2004-2009) Dr. Assegaf was appointed Special Staff to the First Lady of the Republic of Indonesia, and during her second term, she was appointed the Chairperson of Democratic Party Faction in the People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia, and Deputy Chairperson of Democratic Party for 2013 - 2015. She was also the Chairperson of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of People's Representative Council of Indonesia. Alongside these duties, she is known as a strong proponent of women’s empowerment and gender issues. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University (AHBV), Turkey. She obtained her Master Degree in American Studies from University of Indonesia and her Ph.D in Social and Political Sciences from Gadjah Mada Unversity.

Anouar Gharbi is the founder and chairman of a number of human rights organizations and research institutes in Europe and the Arab world. He has played a significant role in the efforts striving to advocate for transparency, governance, justice and human rights issues. He is an expert in international relations with an extended network in the NGOs’ world. He has been awarded the type three of the Order of the Tunisian Republic. He is currently Secretary General of the Geneva Council for international Affairs and Development GCIAD, Honorary President of the Swiss "Rights for All” organization he presided for 12 years. He is member and co-founder of the International Jurists Union. He holds the position of Director of Geneva Center for Democracy and Human rights during 2015-2016 and was chosen in 2010-2011 as the first Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Euro-Mid Observer for Human Rights. Former senior advisor of the Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki, responsible for foreign affairs and international organizations, Anouar Gharbi was the vice-president of the 2014 presidential campaign. In 2019 he was the president and spokesman of the former prime minister Hammadi Jbali's presidential campaign. Anouar Gharbi obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering and graduated from the Graduate School of Management in Geneva as business Engineer.
